Glycolic facial peels are one of the most tried and tested treatments for improving skin appearance. They work by breaking down the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, allowing for easier exfoliation. The combination of glycolic and salicylic acid is particularly effective at combating acne and oily skin.
Visopeel is a professional facial peel compromising Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Beta Hydroxy Acids to provide clearer, fresher looking skin. The active ingredients penetrate and deliver anti-oxidants and vitamins deep into the skin, encouraging new cells to grow stronger and healthier.
The treatment helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, acne, and congestion. Even if you don’t have any specific skin issues, a glycolic facial peel will still provide you with clearer, healthier looking skin. Treatment frequency will be discussed and will depend on skin type i.e. once a week for dry skin or twice a week if skin is excessively oily.
You may feel a tingling sensation on application and the skin may go slightly pink following the treatment, but this is perfectly normal. Skin will resume regular colour within hours following the treatment, although this will vary depending on skin type.
Which acids does Visopeel contain?
Visopeel contains two types of safe, gentle acids commonly used in facial peels:
◼ 25% Glycolic Acid (AHA) penetrates the skin and helps to plump, smooth and refresh the complexion.
◼ 1% Salicylic Acid (BHA) provides a light surface exfoliation helping to reduce the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads and minimise pores.
